  • Grass Fed Beef

    20G

    Grass Fed Beef

    The foundation

Grass-fed beef, simmered and filtered down to about 90 percent protein with all nine essential amino acids intact. It is the protein your grandfather actually ate, and unlike whey it holds together in a hot cup instead of clumping.*

Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, 2018

  • Bone Broth

    4.7G

    Bone Broth

    The second protein

A real protein with a different job, so an honest label prints it on its own line instead of hiding it inside the total. It feeds tendon, joint and skin. The part your grandmother simmered for a day is in the cup.*

Current Medical Research and Opinion, 2008

  • Arabica Coffee

    105MG

    Arabica Coffee

    The cup

Real coffee, not coffee flavor. 105 mg is about one cup of drip, enough for alertness and attention without the jitters, and made on brewed coffee instead of water it is roughly 200 mg.*

    EFSA Journal, 2011

  • Scoops

    Scoops

    The cup you already make

One scoop in hot water or over ice, no frother, no clumps. Rich mocha, not meaty, from real cocoa and buttermilk. 1 g of added sugar. Contains milk, and we print it. Fourteen servings, one a day.

Layered mocha with chocolate shavings in a glass mug on a cork coaster

The flavor powerhouse · Real cocoa, vanilla, buttermilk

Picture a mocha from a real coffee shop, not a chalky protein shake.

Dark cocoa. Warm vanilla. Real buttermilk creaminess. Real Arabica coffee.

  • Stir once and it goes smooth and glossy: no grit, no strings, no film.
  • The first sip is chocolate and coffee. The last sip is still chocolate and coffee.
  • Over ice, it tastes like the $6 iced mocha you’d buy at a coffee shop, minus the syrup.
  • Lightly sweetened with lucuma and our sweetener blend, with just 1G of added sugar. Contains milk.

One scoop. Hot or iced. 14 servings.

ANY QUESTIONS?

Questions & Answers

INFORMATION HUB

Does it taste like beef?

No. It tastes like a rich mocha. Beef protein isolate is nearly flavorless once it has been filtered to this concentration, which is why it disappears into coffee in a way that whey does not. The mocha comes from real cocoa and buttermilk, the sweetness from a blend that leaves 1 gram of added sugar per cup.

Does it replace my coffee, or go in it?

Either. On its own, one scoop in hot water is a full cup of coffee with 24 g of protein in it. Or make it on your own brewed coffee for a stronger cup, about 200 mg of caffeine instead of 105.

How do I make it? Hot, iced, or on brewed coffee?

One scoop, stir ten seconds. Hot: into 8 to 10 ounces of hot water. Iced: into a splash of hot water first, then over ice. On brewed coffee: use your coffee instead of water. No frother, no blender. It had to arrive inside something you already do.

Will it clump?

No. Whey breaks down above about 65°C and clumps into strings in a hot cup. Beef protein isolate holds. A spoon and ten seconds.

The front says 24 g of protein. What is the 24 made of?

20 g of beef protein isolate, 4.7 g of collagen from bone broth, about a gram from buttermilk. We print the collagen separately because it is a real protein with a different job: it feeds tendon, joint and skin rather than muscle. Most blends fold it into one big number. We would rather you could see exactly what the 24 is made of.

Why beef instead of whey?

Three reasons. Heat: whey clumps in a hot cup, beef isolate does not, so this can be a hot coffee. Digestion: whey carries lactose and is the protein people most often say leaves them bloated; beef isolate carries none. History: beef is the protein the American breakfast was built on, and it was never the one in your grandfather's morning.

How much caffeine is in a cup?

105 mg, about one cup of drip. It comes from real Arabica in the scoop, not from an added caffeine powder, and it is enough for the alertness effect Europe's food-safety authority recognizes at 75 mg or more. Made on brewed coffee, the total is roughly 200 mg.

Is there dairy in it?

Yes. The cup contains buttermilk powder for body, which is why the front says Contains Milk. It is not dairy-free, and we are not going to pretend it is. What it does not contain is whey, and the lactose that comes with it; the buttermilk carries about a gram. If you are allergic to milk, this is not your product. If whey bloats you, it very likely is.

What sweetens it? Is there sugar?

One gram of added sugar, three total. From a small amount of cane sugar, alongside allulose, lucuma, vanilla, stevia and sucralose. We will say plainly that sucralose is in there, because it is on the panel and you would find it anyway. No corn syrup, which is the first ingredient in the best-selling creamer. We chose the gram.

How much protein do I need in the morning?

About 30 g in one meal before muscle building switches on. The average American breakfast carries 11. Spread evenly across three meals, the same daily protein built about 25% more muscle protein than the usual pattern of a small breakfast and a big dinner (Journal of Nutrition, 2014). This cup carries 24. With the breakfast you already eat, the morning reaches 35. On its own, you are most of the way there before you leave the house.*

Where does the beef come from, and how is it made?

Grass-fed beef, confirmed by our supplier and printed on the panel. The meat is simmered in water, the protein is drawn out, filtered, concentrated and dried to about 90 percent. Nothing is added back. It is blended in the USA in an FDA-registered, cGMP facility with real Arabica, cocoa and buttermilk. If you want the paperwork, ask us.

When does it ship?

From our US warehouse, usually within one business day. Free shipping in the US. Delivery times and international eligibility are on the shipping policy page.

What if I don't like the taste?

Please see our refund policy.

How many cups in a tub, and why 14?

Fourteen, two weeks at a cup a day. 38.6 g a scoop, 19.05 oz of powder. We sized it for the morning habit, not the shelf, and the subscription defaults to every two weeks for the same reason.

Can I take it with my other Black Forest products?

Yes. Nattokinase, Black Seed Oil and the rest of the range carry no caffeine and no protein, so there is no overlap. Longevity Coffee is also a coffee and does a different job: this one feeds the morning with 24 g of protein, Longevity carries ten longevity compounds. Beef protein coffee in the morning, Longevity in the afternoon, and count the caffeine across both.

Who should talk to a doctor first?

Anyone pregnant or nursing, anyone sensitive to caffeine, and anyone under 18. Each cup carries 105 mg of caffeine, about 200 mg on brewed coffee, so count it toward your day. It contains milk. If you have been told to limit protein for a medical reason, ask before adding 24 g to your morning. Keep out of reach of children.

How does the subscription work, and can I cancel?

Pick the interval, skip or cancel anytime. Every two weeks, every month or every six weeks, shipped automatically at the subscriber price.
